Cary Rendek completed her studies as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine (DTCM) at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is licensed by the CTCMA (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia), and is a member of the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.  She is a practitioner, an educator, and a patient of TCM.

Cary’s motivation for becoming a holistic practitioner in the field of TCM is based on her personal health experiences.  A few years into an otherwise successful IT Management career, Cary began suffering from symptoms diagnosed as fibromyalgia.  Conventional treatment and medicines were ineffective, so she turned to alternative approaches to healing including acupuncture, herbal remedies, yoga and other energy work. Due to the life-altering effects it had on her health, Cary subsequently fulfilled her desire to facilitate others with their journeys to health through the art and science of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Cary treats patients with a broad range of health issues, and her primary interest in TCM lies with gynecology and fertility. She incorporates hands-on energy healing in her practice to facilitate easing of the spirit.  Her warm, empathetic, and compassionate nature brings a sense of comfort and trust with her patients.
